| Group | Club fee | AFA licence | Total |

| Teenagers, 14 and over | €145 | €35 | €180 |
| Adults, from 14 | €165 | €35 | €200 |
The first class is free and carries no obligation. The licence covers insurance, access to federal seminars and grading examinations.
If you are affiliated with a Belgian mutual health insurance fund (mutuelle / ziekenfonds), it will refund part of the club fee. The club issues the certificate you need to claim it; the amount depends on your fund.
Classes are taught in French, but aikido is learned mainly by watching and doing. Beginners who speak English are usually paired with a practitioner who can help. Several members of the international community around Mons train here.
A Japanese martial art created by Morihei Ueshiba. There is no competition: the point is to neutralise an attack by unbalancing or immobilising your partner, never by striking to harm.
It develops fitness, breathing, balance and self-control, and it teaches you how to fall safely, which turns out to be useful well beyond the mat.
